Our signature Jaguar XE saloon features all the best design, luxury and technology found in the larger XF and XJ saloons combined with the agility of F-TYPE.
New Jaguar XE benefits from a comprehensive series of updates and as such, you can expect a bold new appearance inside and out and significant feature upgrades.
Read on to discover five things you should know about New Jaguar XE.
1. THE EXTERIOR HAS HAD A WHOLE NEW REFRESH
Jaguar XE has taken on a sleeker and more athletic design, meaning you need look no further for a car with a distinctive on-road presence. The striking redesign includes the visual widening and lowering of the vehicle, further enhancing its dynamic appearance.
The restyled front bumper features a brand new grille surround, a sportier front spoiler and a wider stance. The front apertures on New XE are significantly larger, and heading to the back, the rear bumper features twin tailpipes. By sharpening some of the softer edges at the front, XE has become even more desirable.

New XE’s headlights are 12mm slimmer than the previous model, with every XE now featuring Premium LED headlights with the signature ‘J-Blade’ daylight running lights (DRL) as standard. At the rear you will also find all-LED lights. A new specification structure makes choosing the right XE for you even easier and all three packs – S, SE and HSE – are also available with the R-Dynamic specification which adds bespoke front and rear bumpers, a lower sill and unique alloy wheels adding together to give it an even sportier appearance.
Jaguar XE comes with a wide range of paint finishes and new to the palette are the optional Eiger Grey, a contemporary warm grey colour, and the deep and luxurious Portofino Blue which both offer a flawless finish.
2. THE INTERIOR IS PACKED WITH THE LATEST INTUITIVE FEATURES
The centre console of Jaguar XE has been completely transformed, with far fewer buttons and a more streamlined feel. That’s because now, most of the functions are controlled by the 10-inch central touch screen. If you opt for Touch Pro Duo1 you’ll also get an additional 5.5 inch display directly underneath, which controls driving and climate settings2.
Below the sleek infotainment set-up, you’ll find the automatic Jaguar SportShift selector. Inspired by F-TYPE, the selector is really satisfying to hold and, in manual mode, a simple tap forward changes down, pulling the lever back selects a higher gear, or with R-Dynamic, you can use the shift paddles on the steering wheel so you don’t even have to take your hands off the wheel.
Jaguar XE features new door casings, larger veneer panels and soft feel finishes to improve the overall look and feel of the cabin, and the new steering wheel puts the control of infotainment features and driver settings at your fingertips so you can make adjustments easily and quickly.
3. PRACTICALITY IS SECOND TO NONE
Bringing Jaguar XE truly into the 21st century are a whole host of features designed to make your driving experience more convenient. The centre cubby storage unit houses both USB and 12V connections and in the back you’ll find generous legroom for your passengers.
Jaguar XE is the first car in this segment to offer the optional ClearSight Rear View mirror3 and once you’ve tried it, you’ll quickly realise what a game-changer it is.
This technology uses a camera in the roof pod to transmit live video directly to a digital display inside the rear view mirror. The digital display gives you a wide, unobstructed view to help minimise blind spots, in clear, bright high-definition. This is excellent if you have passengers or large items in the back or are driving in poor weather conditions.
Discreetly tucked behind the SportShift Selector you will also find the first-to-brand optional charging pad which provides wireless charging for compatible phones while on the move. All you have to do is place your phone on the pad and the 15 Watt charger will get to work2.

4. JAGUAR XE'S ENGINES ARE CLEANER THAN EVER
New Jaguar XE comes with the choice of two diesel and two petrol powertrains to suit your personal preference.
Jaguar XE’s Petrol engines are available in 250PS with Rear Wheel Drive and 300PS with All Wheel Drive transmission. The 180PS Diesel engine is available with both All and Rear Wheel Drive, the latter of which is the first in its segment to comply with Real Driving Emissions Step 2 (RDE2) standards. These standards signify the adherence to low NOx emissions and, as a result, offer reduced VED rates for the first year of ownership. You can read more about XE emissions here.
When it comes to performance, All Wheel Drive can direct torque to the front wheels in as little as 100 milliseconds when required, maintaining traction in challenging conditions. The result is a drive which blends the character of Rear Wheel Drive with the capability of All Wheel Drive, providing outstanding levels of performance and control, whatever the road throws at you.
5. XE'S DRIVING PERFORMANCE ADAPTS TO EVERY CONDITION
Jaguar XE is built on an aluminium chassis structure; that added with the responsive steering is what makes XE renowned for its quality ride and handling.
You’ll also find double wishbone suspension at the front for the ultimate refinement and the load-bearing Integral Link Rear Suspension at the rear will prevent your car from feeling weighed down and promises a super smooth drive.
There’s no greater enjoyment than getting the most out of XE’s driving performance and the Jaguar DriveControl toggle, inspired by that fitted to F-TYPE, is designed to help you do just that. With four integrated modes – Dynamic, ECO, Comfort, and Rain/Ice/Snow – this feature cleverly adapts the steering and throttle response so you can adjust your XE driving style at the flick of a switch.Model pictured is Jaguar XE P300 R-Dynamic HSE specification in Caldera Red with optional features fitted. 1 Touch Pro Duo comes as standard on the HSE spec and is optional on S and SE specs.

3 The ClearSight interior rear view mirror is an optional feature, subject to local regulations.
