When it comes to charging your Jaguar, there’s no place like home. Simply plug in your vehicle on an evening – just as you would your mobile phone – and by morning you can be fully charged and ready to go.

HOME CHARGERS – THE PERFECT WAY TO RECHARGE


For the fastest charging time at home, we recommend a professionally-installed home charger – also known as a wall box or home charging point.

Installation will typically require private off-street parking – such as a driveway or garage – to connect to your home’s electricity. Please check the suitability of your property with your chosen home charger provider.

    A home charger will charge an all-electric car overnight and deliver up to 22 miles* of range from 60 minutes using a 7kW supply.

    Charging at home is not only convenient, the cost of electricity is less per mile compared to petrol and diesel. And you can reduce this further with an off-peak electricity tariff.

    Our recommended home chargers come pre-approved by the government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and can be used in all weather conditions.

    Based on charging Jaguar E-PACE to 34 miles using a 7kW home charger.

    • 7kW AC home chargers will charge 0-80% from 1 hour 24 minutes
    • The average cost of a full charge at home is £2.25
    • The average savings compared to refuelling with petrol or diesel is £2.953

For all-electric cars, figures are based on an average cost of 4.6p per mile for electricity, and an average cost of 17.8p per mile for petrol and diesel. For Plug-in Hybrid cars, figures are based on an average cost of 6.6p per mile for electricity, and an average cost of 15.3p per mile for petrol and diesel.

OUR RECOMMENDED HOME CHARGING PARTNERS


In order to provide you with the most comprehensive charging capabilities and minimum installation lead-time for your area, we have chosen to partner with two OLEV-approved wall box providers. Both Pod Point and BP Pulse’s fast and smart-enabled wall boxes come with a 3-year warranty as standard, and are recommended for their quality and reliability.

  • POD POINT4

    Since 2009, Pod Point has grown into one of the UK’s largest and most reliable charging solutions.

    A Pod Point 7kW untethered unit can be installed from £509. A Pod Point 7kW tethered unit can be installed from £5395.

  • BP PULSE4

    Established in 2008, BP Pulse is one of the only full-service charging solution providers in the UK – producing and installing tens of thousands of their own smart-enabled and reliable Homecharge units across the country.

    A BP Pulse 7kW unit can be installed tethered or untethered from £5795.

ARRANGING YOUR HOME CHARGER INSTALLATION

  • 1. CHOOSE YOUR PROVIDER

    To start your wall box installation process, choose from our two recommended home charging partners – Pod Point or BP Pulse.4

  • 2. SUITABILITY SURVEY

    Your chosen charging provider will undertake a survey over the phone or online to determine the suitability of your property for a wall box. General requirements include off-street parking, a suitable electrical power supply to your meter and a 100-amp main fuse.

  • 3. ARRANGE INSTALLATION DATE

    Agree an installation date with your chosen provider. If you qualify for a government grant to help with the installation cost, your provider will do this on your behalf.

  • 4. INSTALLATION AND DEMO

    Once your installation date comes around, your chosen provider will install your wall box and talk you through the basics of charging.

  • SAVE UP TO £350 WITH THE GOVERNMENT GRANT6

    Jaguar all-electric and Plug-in Hybrid cars qualify for the government’s Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme. This provides up to £350 towards the installation of a wall box by an approved installer. If you are a Scottish resident you may also be eligible for up to £300 in additional support from the Energy Savings Trust.

  • THREE-PIN SOCKETS PROVIDE ADDED PEACE OF MIND

    If you’re away from home for longer periods and a home charger is not accessible, the standard 3-pin plug socket used for electric household items will also charge your vehicle at a much slower rate. This is achieved by simply plugging in your Jaguar's optional Domestic Plug (Mode 2) charging cable.
