Jaguar Land Rover Limited (“JLR”, “Our”, “We” or “Us”) is responsible for the content of the official JLR Facebook Pages.

When visiting Our Facebook “Pages”, Facebook collects personal data as a data controller which includes personal data of their user, as it describes in its Data Policy:
https://en-gb.facebook.com/policy.php

We recommend you read through this and understand the collection of your data (“user data”) by Facebook prior to any use of their platform.

Information about Facebook’s use of cookies can also be found here: https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies.

This Policy describes how (i) We work with LiveRamp to send targeted advertising to users, and (ii) where We receive and use your personal data in circumstances where you interact with Us via the Facebook platform on the official Jaguar Land Rover, Facebook pages, that include:

• the Land Rover Facebook page,
• the Jaguar Facebook page
• the Jaguar Land Rover Careers Facebook page,

Facebook provides you, the user, with information about its advertising (including how to control the adverts you are shown so they are more useful to you) in pages that are accessible to you by clicking your User Privacy settings at the bottom of your home page. These pages also provide you information about how you can control the adverts you see when using Facebook, and how you can control the adverts you see from businesses you interact with. If you have seen an advert from Jaguar or Land Rover on your Facebook feed, or if Facebook has been able to identify from your Facebook account that you have interacted with a Jaguar or Land Rover website, app or shop, Facebook makes this information available to you via your Ad Preferences, set out in the Privacy Shortcuts at the bottom of your home page.

We work with Facebook and our partner LiveRamp to identify target audiences for Our products. When you use our website, we share information that we may collect from you, such as your email (in hashed, de-identified form), IP address or information about your browser or operating system, with our partner, LiveRamp Inc and its group companies (‘LiveRamp’).

LiveRamp may drop a cookie on your browser or directly in our emails and match your shared information to their on- and offline marketing databases and those of its advertising partners to create a link between your browser and information in those other databases.

Similarly, when you use our mobile apps, we may also share hashed and de-identified email addresses, mobile device ID, location data, and advertising identifiers with LiveRamp, which uses that information to create a link between your mobile device and its databases. This link may be shared by our partners globally for the purpose of enabling interest-based content or advertising throughout your online experience (e.g. cross device, web, email and in app etc.) by third parties unaffiliated with our website.

These third parties may in turn link further demographic or interest-based information to your browser. You have the right to exercise your rights under GDPR including opting out of LiveRamp’s Cookie or Mobile Identifiers and can easily do so by clicking on this link: https://your-rights.liveramp.uk/home

Which User Data Facebook collects is not known to JLR. The data JLR can access from Facebook is limited to public profile information – which will include any information you choose to share if you contact us via Our Pages. Facebook gives you the choice to determine what information you share as public, by allowing you to adjust this for your profile information via your Facebook settings. In addition, you can actively hide your “likes” or unlike a page via the Facebook settings. If you unlike one of Our Pages, then your profile will then not be listed as fan of that page anymore.

JLR receives from Facebook anonymous statistics based on usage of Our Pages to help Us provide more engaging content.

The following anonymous information will be provided to JLR:

• Follower numbers: number of persons following the JLR Pages – including growth and development over a defined time frame.

• Range: Number of people who see a specific contribution. Number of interactions on a post. For example, We can deduce which content in the community is better than others.

• Advertisement performance: How many people have seen an advert or an article and interacted with it.

• Demography: Average age of visitors, gender, place of residence, language.

These (anonymous) statistics are used to steadily improve Our Facebook online content and to better respond to the interests of Our users. We cannot link statistical data with the profiles of Our fans or individual users. You can use your Facebook settings to decide in which form you would display targeted advertisements.

JLR will receive via Facebook your personal data if you actively transmit your data by sending a personal Facebook message. We use the provided data (e.g. name, surname, VIN) to respond to your query by Our customer support. Your data will be saved for this purpose in Our CRM system. JLR also receives via Facebook personal data of you if you are using a pre-filled web form. This form uses data from your user profile. To send the data to Us you actively have to click a send button.

Further information about the processing of personal data by JLR, as well as your data subject rights can be found in Our full privacy policy which can be accessed via these links: https://www.jaguar.co.uk/privacy-policy/index.html
