Jaguar, in conjunction with law enforcement and insurance bodies, are aware of the recent increase in thefts of vehicles in specific geographical locations.

Vehicle theft is a criminal and industry-wide issue - there is no fault with Jaguar's security systems and they continue to meet stringent automotive legislation.

Jaguar has implemented a new security feature to new vehicles in order to stay one step ahead of the criminals.

We have a dedicated team working tirelessly with the aim of keeping customer vehicles secure from these criminal gangs.

As the theft of vehicles is using a method that requires access to your vehicle, there are also some very simple steps you can take to dramatically reduce your vehicle being targeted:

• Always try and park in a well-lit area

• Always lock your car and ensure deadlocks are activated by pressing the lock button twice

• Physical /visible devices may also act as a deterrent

• Check with your retailer how many keys have been programmed for your vehicle Only use retailers you trust to maintain your vehicle

• Think twice if you are going to give your keys to unknown third parties.

• Treat your car keys and car like you would treat your credit card

• If you believe you have left your keys with an untrusted source, please contact your retailer

If you are concerned about your vehicles' security, please contact your Jaguar authorised retailer who will be able to book your vehicle in to complete a simple check which will quickly ascertain whether there are any additional keys paired to your vehicle above the number of keys that you hold.
