JAGUAR STORIES: TECHNOLOGY
8 REASONS TO TEST DRIVE JAGUAR XF
Jaguar XF, a perfect example of style and substance.
1. IT’S BEEN REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP
Injected with the sleek, exciting design of a sports car it’s easy to see how XF pays homage to the Sir William Lyons’ design philosophy. XF is just as dynamic on the driveway as it is on the A57 Snake Pass. It’s mature, sophisticated and unmistakably Jaguar.
Premium materials such as soft leathers and veneer finishes make XF luxurious to the touch. While an abundance of natural light means that no matter where you travel, you’ll arrive relaxed and refreshed.
2. IT’S LIGHTER THAN EVER, WHICH MAKES IT MORE RESPONSIVE
Jaguar XF is lighter than ever – 190kg less than its predecessor. This weight reduction makes it more poised, precise and responsive.
You’ll enjoy supreme levels of ride comfort and handling on the road thanks to the lightweight sports-car inspired front double wishbone suspension, derived from the F-TYPE, and rear integral link suspension systems.
3. IT’S EFFICIENT TO THE CORE, SO EVEN BETTER FOR YOUR WALLET
The XF saloon is designed for efficiency on the inside and out, meaning some engine options offer CO2 emissions as low as 129g/km*. What’s more, for company car drivers, the XF offers BIK rates from 30% and the combined driving cycle is up to 57.6mpg*.
Thanks to the all-aluminium construction of the XF’s Ingenium engine, you’ll not only get the power you want, you’ll get the lower fuel consumption you need too.

4. PROGRESSIVE TECHNOLOGY MAKES MOTORWAY DRIVING EASIER THAN EVER
Jaguar XF features the latest intelligent innovations to help keep you safer on the road.
Blind Spot Monitor not only alerts you when a vehicle comes into close proximity through an icon in your left or right door mirror, but can also inform the driver of rapidly approaching vehicles on either side by flashing the icon. If the driver attempts a lane change manoeuvre, the optional Blind Spot Assist technology provides calculated steering torque to gently move the car back into a safe position if necessary. In addition, both systems provide a visual alert and gentle vibration of the steering wheel if you begin to drift out of your lane.
Jaguar XF’s optional Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist is designed to help you stay in control at all times. When activated, the technology adjusts your cruising speed to keep a safe distance from vehicles ahead whilst in traffic. Once roads have cleared, XF will return to the pre-set speed, safely.
5. INTERACTIVE DRIVER DISPLAY MODERNISES THE WAY DRIVING DATA IS DISPLAYED
To consolidate all your data in an easy to gauge place, you can choose the option of a high-definition Interactive Driver Display to replace the standard instruments. This display can be configured to include full-screen navigation, as well as normal vehicle data.
XF’s optional Head-Up Display technology is derived from fighter jets and projects crisp, laser-generated imagery of your driving data onto the windscreen. Displaying vehicle speed, cruise control notifications and turn-by-turn navigation, the time spent looking at the instruments is reduced, improving your awareness at each turn.
6. THE INTERIOR CAPTIVATES ATTENTION, CREATING A SENSE OF OCCASION
Jaguar XF continues its reputation for creating a sense of occasion from the moment you step inside. Stylish, spacious with a degree of subtlety that demonstrates an attention to detail.
You can enhance the XF’s atmosphere with optional configurable interior mood lighting or LED reading lights for passengers sitting in the rear, that offer clear, precise illumination. Not forgetting that there’s more space than ever before as well; we’ve increased the rear knee room compared to the previous generation XF, meaning your passengers’ journey has never been so comfortable.
7. IT FEATURES AN INTUITIVE MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM TO KEEP YOU BETTER CONNECTED
The lightning-fast 10.2” touch screen is your window to a whole world of connectivity. The InControl Touch Pro System is your hub for everything entertainment, and seamless interaction enabled by voice command software means you can adjust your preferences, while staying in control with your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
Additional innovative features such as a WiFi Hotspot for up to eight devices, a navigation system with 2D or 3D maps and satellite views also come as standard. The supplied SIM card also allows connected features such as live traffic updates and fuel price look-ups.

8. IT DELIVERS A RICH, IMMERSIVE AUDIO EXPERIENCE – PERFECT FOR MUSIC LOVERS
XF’s sound system is the new standard for superb audio. The optional 380W MeridianTM Sound System gives you a truly rich and immersive auditory experience. Technology such as Dynamic Volume Control has been integrated to automatically balance out unwanted noises, delivering exceptional definition, crystal clear highs and full deep bass.
For those that upgrade, there’s the even more powerful 825W MeridianTM Surround Sound System with Meridian Trifield technology. The speakers all work in perfect harmony, meaning that no matter where you’re sitting, your music has never sounded so good. So what are you waiting for? A test drive in XF is calling.
