Is Jaguar Land Rover committed to diesel in the future?

Jaguar Land Rover remains committed to offering a variety of powertrain options. Diesel continues to have a role in the marketplace, as do petrol and hybrid options. Our engineers will continue to assess all options in pursuit of greater efficiency and cleanliness.
Is the New Jaguar XJ still in development?

Yes. Jaguar XJ has been our flagship model for 50 years and we are currently working on the next generation all-electric Jaguar XJ. Stay up to date with the latest XJ news from Jaguar UK by following us on Facebook Twitter or Instagram.
Where is the R-Sport specification?

R-Sport is no longer in the specification line-up for 2021. You can now select our new R-Dynamic specification for enhanced contemporary looks and a sportier feel.

TECHNOLOGY

With so much connectivity, should customers be worried about data security?

We are committed to keeping your data safe. It is securely partitioned within the onboard system for enhanced protection, while all software-over-the-air downloads are encrypted. Our state-of-the-art, multi-layered QNX operating system meets international standards for electrical security in production vehicles with ISO26262 compliance.
Is faster charging time in development?

Yes, we are always advancing our charging times. We continue to offer over-the-air software updates that will improve the efficiency and performance of both the battery and charging times for your Jaguar.
Is Apple CarPlay available?

Yes. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all 2021 Jaguar models.
Is Pivi an acronym? What does it stand for?

No. Pivi is a short, snappy and memorable name that works internationally. It doesn’t stand for anything.
What's the difference between Pivi and Pivi Pro?

Pivi Pro is now standard on all new Jaguar models in the UK. The following key features and capabilities are unique to Pivi Pro:
- All-new Connected Navigation providing real-time traffic updates and live access to charging points
- Online Pack, including Online Media, weather updates, calendar information and more
- Cellular modem for connecting the various services, including online entertainment
- Fast system start-up and fast Cloud connection time
- A more powerful processor, increasing Pivi Pro’s responsiveness
- High-definition Interactive Driver Display
What are the main differences between InControl Touch Pro and Pivi Pro?

Pivi Pro replaces InControl touch – it is the next generation of Jaguar Land Rover infotainment technology. Pivi Pro features a more intuitive design, reducing the number of steps by an average of 50%. It is easy to customise, it can connect to two smartphones at once, and it features a back-up battery for nearly instant start-up performance.
Now that there's a new Infotainment system what will happen to my current one?

We will continue to provide software updates to further improve system performance. Monthly map updates will continue to be available.

MHEV AND PHEV

What are the benefits of mild hybrid technology and how does it work?

Jaguar mild hybrid (MHEV) technology intelligently recovers energy that would normally be lost when slowing down and redeploys it to boost power to your engine for increased efficiency. It works to reduce fuel consumption, optimise CO2 emissions and provide even smoother stop-start operation. Find out more.
Why engineer an MHEV when a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) model is available?

The diversification of Jaguar’s engine range ensures there is something to meet the needs of every customer. Offering both PHEV and MHEV powertrains means you can experience dynamic performance, efficiency and refinement, no matter what your powertrain requirements are.
What are the Benefit-in-Kind rates for your PHEV models?

Both E-PACE PHEV and F-PACE PHEV offer a Benefit-in-Kind rate from 10%.
What is the EV range of the plug-in hybrid?

The electric range of the E-PACE PHEV is up to 34 miles (WLTP TEL Combined Cycle).
The electric range of the F-PACE PHEV is up to 33 miles (WLTP TEL Combined Cycle).

I-PACE

Does Jaguar I-PACE have a warranty?

Yes, your new Jaguar I-PACE comes with a comprehensive battery warranty for up to 8 years or 100,000 miles – whichever comes first.
Can the Jaguar I-PACE tow? What is its capacity?

Yes, the Jaguar I-PACE has a maximum towing capacity of 750kg. Find out more.
Why does I-PACE have a front grille? An EV doesn’t need one.

We have kept the grille to enhance aerodynamic functionality and to reinforce Jaguar design cues. Solid for three-quarters of its depth but featuring a technical, mesh-like appearance, the grille ‘rolls over’ near the top. Air enters this opening and exits via the bonnet vent. Lower vents in the front bumper work together with this airflow to cool the climate control system and the battery’s heat exchangers.

F-TYPE

Why have you introduced a TFT cluster in place of the traditional analogue instruments?

The new full TFT instrument cluster enhances the driving experience with a reconfigurable HD display that offers a choice of different options, including full map mode. But as befits a true sports car, the default mode is the large, central rev-counter.
What is the F-TYPE P450?

With F-TYPE P450, we’ve introduced a new 450PS V8 model in both all-wheel and rear-wheel drive forms. This marks the return of a rear-wheel drive V8 F-TYPE to the range. The 450PS benefits from a bespoke EPAS tune; new dampers; faster, crisper shifts (similar to the new F-TYPE R); and an electronically-controlled rear differential to optimise traction and enhance performance.

XE and XF

XE seems to have received the least updates for 2021, why is that?

This is because XE received a wide range of recent design and technology updates at 20MY. For 21MY, we are continuing to improve XE by introducing much of the new technology shared across the Jaguar range. We are also delivering small design updates to align XE’s visual harmony with the rest of the range.
How do the new XF seats differ from the previous model?

New XF seating includes an updated colourway line up with new foam for increased comfort and a 3D-embossed headrest Leaper. We have also introduced monogram quilting, seat labels and front seat massage functionality. For increased refinement, you can opt to add the extended leather pack in Windsor leather. This pack includes a leather-wrapped instrument panel, door toppers, arm rests and console lid.
On XF, why have you gone with a new drive selector instead of the pop-up selector?

We have opted for XF’s new drive selector because it provides a more engaging feel for the driver and harmonises with the all-new interior. It features a luxurious upper section finished with cricket-ball stitching and a lower section made of precision-engineered metal for enhanced tactility.
