COMFORT AND DYNAMISM

Jaguar XE responds with agility and performs with dynamism while always maintaining ride comfort – it’s a unique balance that makes it a Jaguar. And now the option of All Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics on selected powertrains, XE offers even greater capability in challenging road conditions.

LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINIUM ARCHITECTURE

Saving weight without compromising durability, XE’s immensely strong Lightweight Aluminium Architecture helps achieve optimum weight distribution approaching 50:50. This lightweight structure not only reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, it means that the XE range is able to encompass everything from as low as 124g/km to a maximum speed of up to 155mph.

TORQUE VECTORING

Jaguar XE’s Torque Vectoring by Braking maximises control through even the tightest corners. Providing controlled independent braking on the individual inside front and rear wheels, the system delivers outstanding sports car-like agility and added driver confidence.

DRIVING TECHNOLOGY

AWD AND INTELLIGENT DRIVELINE DYNAMICS

Jaguar XE's All Wheel Drive (AWD) system offers a smoother, safer ride on all surfaces. At its heart is an extremely fast-reacting, compact transfer case with integrated Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) software. Exclusively developed by Jaguar, the unique IDD software features sophisticated algorithms to react intelligently to road conditions. Predictive, as well as reactive, the system helps prevent you from losing traction instead of working to regain it.

ADAPTIVE SURFACE RESPONSE

Adaptive Surface Response (AdSR) recognises differences between surfaces to exploit the maximum available grip in adverse weather and across challenging terrain1.

ALL SURFACE PROGRESS CONTROL

Unique in this class of car, XE’s All Surface Progress Control (ASPC) helps give added confidence in slippery conditions. It’s a low speed cruise control that helps XE cope with low traction situations, whatever the weather – allowing you to concentrate on steering2.

INSPIRED SUSPENSION

Jaguar XE’s sophisticated front and rear suspension systems complete a chassis that achieves a superb combination of sportiness and refinement. Advanced damper technologies – both passive and adaptive – improve ride quality and extend XE’s breadth of dynamic capability. The suspension’s control, agility and feedback give XE the spirit of a sports car.

ADVANCED DRIVING DYNAMICS

Dynamic Mode enlivens Jaguar XE's sporting character. It sharpens throttle response, increases steering weighting and performs gearshifts more quickly and at higher engine speeds.

CONFIGURABLE DYNAMICS

Bringing technology from F‑TYPE, the optional Configurable Dynamics3 system allows you to set up XE's dynamics for throttle mapping, gearbox shift points and steering to suit your performance driving needs. When optional Adaptive Dynamics is fitted, you can make your setting even more personal by configuring the damper settings.

ADAPTIVE DYNAMICS

Whether you're accelerating on the motorway, cornering on country roads or navigating around town, optional Adaptive Dynamics4 modifies XE's response to match the conditions and your driving style. The system constantly adjusts the dampers to provide the optimum balance between comfort and refinement at all times.

JAGUARDRIVE CONTROL

JaguarDrive Control allows you to select Normal, Eco, Dynamic or Rain Ice Snow modes, each subtly changing the steering and throttle mapping. Eco Mode encourages fuel efficient driving while Dynamic Mode sharpens the throttle response and increases steering weighting. By selecting Rain Ice Snow Mode, the system automatically dampens acceleration and applies more gradual traction for slippery conditions.

ELECTRIC POWER ASSISTED STEERING

Giving you fine control at speed and comprehensive assistance during slow manoeuvring, XE’s Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) offers outstanding feedback and immediate power assistance. And it’s only active on demand – saving power for when you really need it, as well as saving fuel.

The figures provided are as a result of official manufacturer's tests in accordance with EU legislation. For comparison purposes only. Real world figures may differ. CO2 and fuel economy figures may vary according to wheel fitment and optional extras fitted.

The fuel consumption and CO2 figures under the old passenger car test, NEDC, will still be used by the Government until at least 2020 for tax treatment of passenger cars. NEDC Equivalent (NEDCeq) are figures calculated using a Government formula from WLTP figures equivalent to what they would have been under the old NEDC test. The correct tax treatment can then be applied.
